Across the years, Adam F’s contribution to the world of drum & bass (and indeed beyond) has been huge. His 1997 debut album Colours still stands today as a classic of the genre, full of classy, atmospheric rollers and live instrumentation that set the ball rolling for the liquid side of D&B to emerge, while a few years later his KAOS project broke new ground, with many of the world’s biggest rappers (De La Soul, Redman, LL Cool J, Pharaoh Monchetc) helping him realise his vision of hip-hop – and in the process turning many of them and their fellow Americans on to his D&B styles and remixes too…excerpt from Data Trans Mission
